I am posting several pix from the past few Halloweens and all the joy

This is my daughter Madi-Grace (In the middle) Her two buddies are sleeping over tonight. We made caramel apples...they wanted theirs rolled in sprinkles...And candied apples which I never knew were so easy to make. I had to think of something quickly when one of her buddies didn't like caramel.
Candied Apples
2 Cups sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
3/4 c. water and several drops of red food coloring
(Thank God I had it all !)
You heat th e ingredients in a pan and use a candy thermometer until 300 degrees
Then coat the apple , sit on wax or parchment paper for 20 minutes (We only waited ten, the girls were excited) And then serve! Wow this was fun...be super careful though, I dripped an tiny bit of the mixture on my thumbnail...and now it is sitting in a bowl of icewater 1/2 later! Oh it hurts!

My little ladybug! Isn't she cute...I 'm cherishing these moments...pretty soon she won't want to dress up!
