October is here and it is the perfect time for Pumpkin Bread!

Grandma's Pumpkin Bread
You are in for a treat!

You will need: 2 sticks of butter (soft)
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 can pumpkin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2/3 c. water
3 1/3 c. flour

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, pumpkin, water, all spices, salt baking soda, baking powder, mix well and then add flour. Makes two loaf pans.
This is my mother law Barbara's recipe and today I am attempting it for the first time. For twenty years I have had it at every family dinner and it will be hard to live up to how good she makes it....but I am trying today. My son says he will not be eating it...because it is not grandmas. But then I saw him peek in the oven:) ...well see!
